According to TMZ’s report, Doug’s ex-fiancée, Valerie Cook also confirmed the tragic news. She expressed her devastation, stating how much she hates the fact that the children she shares with the late singer will now grow up without their father. Thank you for your love, support, and generosity during this incredibly difficult time. We greatly appreciate each and everyone of yall [sic],” reads the end of the plea. The fundraiser includes touching photos of Doug, capturing different moments of his life.
The overwhelming support from the community has been evident, as donations have poured in. Currently, of the $4,500 goal, the GoFundMe has already reached 81% of its target, with contributions totaling $3,663 from 65 donors.
